On March 2020, when Portugal was ready to lockdown because of COVID-19, I decided to start publishing – on my personal Facebook – a group of 40 photos, named “Quarantine”.
Nothing serious, just for fun, to pass the time and interact with friends.
Some of the pictures where new – made at/ from home – and others where from different sources: personal work, commercial work, travel, etc., but would somehow represent the moment we were living in.
There wasn’t even a specific day to publish or any kind of plan. Like the virus, I was taking my time. Some were related with the news at the time or another new “COVID rule” or law (the pictures made more sense then…).
Many people thought I was taking too long to publish the 40 pictures and the virus would be gone before I’d finished. The 40th picture was published on November 2020. More than one year after that, we’re still not 100% sure it’s over.
